8 METRE - THE JOSEPH BALOGH TROPHY
Presented to the North American Eight Metre Association (NAEMA) in 1987 by the 8 Metre yacht owners in honour of Joseph Balogh’s 60th birthday. Awarded to the Lake Ontario Racing Council (LORC) RCYC Open Regatta Winner, Classic Division.
8 METRE - CN TOWER TROPHY
Presented to the North American Eight Metre Association (NAEMA) in 2005 by the CN Tower as part of its sponsorship of the 8 Metre World Championships held in Toronto that year. Currently awarded to the overall winner of the Etobicoke Yacht Club Open Regatta, Classic Division.
8 METRE - ÆMILIUS JARVIS BOWL
This trophy, originally a “C” Class Championship keeper won in 1928 by Casey Woods Jr. in Cordite, was later redeeded in 1989 as the “Æmilius Jarvis Bowl” for recognition of exemplary contribution to the North American (formerly Lake Ontario) 8 Metre Association.
8 METRE – THE GLOBE & MAIL/THE HARRY G. KIMBER TROPHY
Presented in 1954 by The Globe and Mail for the North American 6 Metre Championship.Redesignated in 1968 to 1974 as the Harry G. Kimber trophy for the Soling Great Lakes Championship. Redesignated in 1985 for award to the winning Classic 8 Metre yacht in the North American Invitational Regatta.
8 METRE - SODUS BAY CUP
Presented in 1961 by Eugene Van Voorhis of the Sodus Bay Yacht Club (SBYC) and long-time 8 Metre yacht owner. Awarded for North American Championship, Overall Winner.
