Our Story
The North American Eight Metre story began In 1928 when the New York Yacht Club commissioned 12 International 8mR yachts from the top designers and boat yards in Europe for delivery to Long Island Sound. In 1930 the RCYC selected the 8mR to revive the Canada’s Cup match racing series for the championship of the Great Lakes - Canada versus the USA.

Golden Feather is on the next leg of her Lovely Lady R&R Tour. Huge thanks for making this happen goes to the Thurston Boys and NAEMA!!!! Too bad we all don't age as beautifully as this absolute stunna.
She's at Cayuga Wooden Boatworks in on Cayuga Lake...one of the Fingerlakes. They have a Facebook page...restored General George S. Patton's schooner "When and If". Golden Feather is going under the knife for dry rot removal\replacement as well as her keelson. All great news and a quality yard performing the work!
